The California Center for Population Research (CCPR) was established in 1998 as a leading research center for research and training in demography. Comprised of over 90 active faculty researchers from disciplines including epidemiology, public policy, economics, sociology, and public welfare, CCPR spans across several schools within UCLA, such as the College of Letters and Sciences, Division of Social Sciences, School of Public Health, School of Medicine, and the School of Public Affairs. The achievements in research and training have been made possible through the financial support from the UCLA Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, College of Letters and Sciences, and the National Institute of Child Health and Development Infrastructure Support grant, as well as from faculty research grants from various public and private sponsors including the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Russell Sage Foundation, and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. CCPR's dedication to advancing research and education in demography and its strong network of supportive sponsors position it as a valuable initiative for those interested in promoting population research.
