Founded in 1969 by David Barke Senior, the company has seen steady growth over the years. With James, Nick, and Guy Barke joining the business in the early '90s and David Barke Junior completing the family team in 2004, Boats.co.uk has evolved into a fully-equipped sales and service center. The acquisition of Essex Marina in December 2005 further enhanced the company's capabilities, enabling it to handle larger boats with a travel hoist that can lift up to 80 tonnes and 100ft in length.
