Blue Star Integrative Studio

Blue Star Integrative Studio, founded in 2013, is a design practice that focuses on planning, architecture, systems engineering, and interior design under the Bodwé Professional Services and Mno-Bmadsen. As a wholly owned instrumentality of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, Blue Star is distinguished as an Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) company, committed to working in collaboration with tribal, city, county, state, and federal governments, as well as public, private, and non-profit organizations and institutions. The studio's approach emphasizes the belief that every space and place has the potential to cultivate community and culture. Their commitment to smart community building is reflected in their dedication to community authorship, culturally-attuned references, and active involvement of various stakeholders, including client staff, youth, and elders. This collaborative approach allows communities to have self-determination, shaping their own future and resulting in master plans, project sites, and built structures that are not only distinctive but also deeply rooted in cultural experiences.
