Bloomery Plantation Distillery

Bloomery Plantation Distillery opened on September 17, 2011. Today we're headed towards national distribution with a future focus on the global marketplace. Producing world-class liqueurs with a moonshine base, we’ve polished up an old tradition, creating award-winning liqueurs ranging from 8° to 85°. The 2400 sq. ft. production facility is located in Charles Town, WV, an hour and half outside of Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. The farm and tasting room is located 2 miles east of there and is situated on 12 acres where the Shenandoah River meets the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our tasting room experience takes place in a two-story 50’x 16’ historic log cabin. We deliver a WOW experience both there and wherever we go! We are unique, all-natural, and farm-fresh. We take a stand against boring, unadventurous drinking, so we went back to the way the old timers used to do it. They would flavor moonshine with real fruit and sugar for smoother, more palatable ‘shine. Bloomery’s all-natural SweetShines® are made that way, by hand, with 190-proof 'shine, pure cane sugar, and farm-fresh ingredients. We grow lemons - yes, lemons - Hawaiian ginger, black walnuts, pumpkins and cranberries. What we don’t grow we try to source from other small family farms. Those ingredients are made into SweetShine by hand. Why do we do it? All-natural flavor. And it really shows. With 30+ medals, Bloomery SweetShines® are award-winning.
