Bioinformatics Institute is a non-governmental non-commercial bioinformatics research and educational institution supported by JetBrains, Inc. Founded in 2010 in St. Petersburg, Russia, the institute has a clear mission to popularize bioinformatics and educate a new generation of highly skilled professionals. Its educational programs are designed to familiarize students with the main objectives and methods of bioinformatics, along with open problems related to this science. These programs mainly target graduate students and young professionals with tech, mathematical, and biological specialties interested in bioinformatics and biostatistics.
