Bio Farma - Indonesia is a state-owned company specializing in the production of vaccines and sera. Founded by the Dutch Government on August 6, 1890, in Jakarta as PARC VACCINOGEN, it later shifted its production center to Bandung in 1923, adjacent to the Hasan Sadikin Hospital. Following Indonesia's independence, the institution transitioned to the ownership of the Indonesian Government in 1946, with Dr. R.M. Sardjito leading the organization. Over time, it underwent several name changes, including State Company Pasteur, General Company Bio Farma, and now PT Bio Farma (Persero).
Bio Farma's product portfolio includes BCG vaccine, DTP-HB vaccine, DT vaccine, Td vaccine, Hepatitis B vaccine, Polio vaccine, Measles vaccine, Influenza vaccine, anti-snake venom serum, anti-diphtheria serum, and anti-tetanus serum.
