BiBank

BiBank is a National Private Bank established in 1971, with a focus on wholesale banking, collateral loans, and payroll deduction codes. The company's history dates back to its predecessor, Compañía Financiera Interfinanzas S.A. (CIFSA), which commenced operations in Argentina in 1971, with San Mateo S.A. (80%) and Dow Chemical (20%) as its shareholders. Over the years, the bank went through structural changes and saw the acquisition of 20% by Creditanstalt AG in 1989, which was further increased to 30% in 1990. Subsequently, Creditanstalt AG raised its stake to 50% in 1996, leading to the rebranding of the bank as Banco B.I. Creditanstalt S.A. In 1998, both Creditanstalt AG and San Mateo S.A. injected USD 20,000,000 into the bank, strengthening its capital base for a new phase of growth.
