Berlin Institut für Partizipation is a politically independent organization that is dedicated to the participatory advancement of democratic society. It advocates for a comprehensive understanding of participation, encompassing various forms of citizen involvement, direct democracy, a modern approach to representative decision-making, and revitalization of political culture. The institute publishes its own studies and professional contributions, including the biennial KURSBUCH BÜRGERBETEILIGUNG, and organizes digital events such as the D³ Kongress and the in-house series “Digitale Fachgespräche”. In addition, it evaluates civic participation in municipalities and provides guidance to politicians. Founded in 2017, the institute operates in the industries of Analytics and IT.
