Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership (ANDP), established in 1991, is focused on developing, financing, and advocating for affordable housing at scale, with a mission to promote racial equity and healthy communities where families thrive. The organization is particularly addressing the widening wealth and homeownership gap between Black and white households, especially in neighborhoods at risk of gentrification and displacement. In 2020, ANDP launched the Closing the Gap plan to develop or preserve 2,000 affordable housing units by 2025. Through innovative development and financing of single-family and multifamily units, in collaboration with public and private sector partners, ANDP is on track to achieve this ambitious goal. As a member of the NeighborWorks Network, ANDP operates the ANDP Loan Fund, providing low-interest loans to support for-profit and nonprofit organizations that produce affordable housing. The organization has significantly increased its capital deployment, supporting nearly 6,500 affordable housing units and adding down payment assistance to its portfolio of products. ANDP's focus on racial equity influences all aspects of its work, from development and policy to lending capacities, and the geographic focus of the neighborhoods served. The organization is also dedicated to investing in Black-owned businesses, with an estimated investment of over $50 million by 2025 through partnership investments, direct contracts, and low-cost loans. In addition to its housing initiatives, ANDP runs the Neighbors Together program, offering resident leaders access to local, state, and national experts to strengthen their leadership skills and address specific neighborhood issues. The organization continues to make a significant impact in the real estate industry, contributing to the development and sustainability of affordable housing in the United States.
