Astron is a mineral sands mining company listed on the ASX. It is focused on developing its two mining projects – Donald in Victoria, Australia, and Niafarang in Senegal, West Africa. The Donald project contains one of the world’s largest zircon and titanium feedstock resources. In addition, Astron has a mineral sands trading operation based in Shenyang, China, and a zircon and titanium chemical and metals research and development operation in Yingkou, China. Astron has a 25-year history in mineral sands and a cashed up balance sheet following the recent sale of its Chinese downstream mineral sands processing and marketing operations.
