Association for Clinical and Translational Science

The Association for Clinical and Translational Science, founded in 2008, focuses on research, education, advocacy, and mentoring within the discipline of clinical and translational science. The organization's diverse research ranges from basic discoveries to community-based studies, all with a dedication to addressing health needs through scientific methodologies. The Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), established by the NIH in 2006, significantly raised awareness and provided resources for advanced degree-granting training programs in this field, fostering partnerships with industry, granting agencies, and regulatory bodies. With the aim of establishing 60 centers, the CTSA program is expected to have over 1000 trainees at any given time. The Society's mission is centered on advancing research and education in clinical and translational science to enhance human health.
