Association ESPAS
Association ESPAS, which stands for Espace de Soutien et Prévention - Abus Sexuels, is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and adults affected by sexual abuse. Operating in Switzerland, specifically in the cantons of Vaud and Valais, ESPAS serves as a specialized center for consultations and expertise, offering therapeutic support for families with children facing sexual abuse and for adults who have experienced such violence in their lives. Additionally, the organization provides counseling and awareness courses for professionals, youth agencies, and individuals with disabilities.
ESPAS was established in 2017 through the merger of Familles Solidaires and Faire le Pas, both of which had been actively combatting sexual abuse for over 20 years. In 2017, the prevention service mir a joined ESPAS to enhance its range of sexual abuse prevention services. With headquarters in Lausanne and a branch in Sion, ESPAS extends its prevention activities (consulting and courses) across the French-speaking regions of Switzerland. The team comprises professionals specially trained in addressing sexual abuse issues, including psychologists, family therapists, and social workers.
