Asosiasi Asuransi Jiwa Indonesia (AAJI) is the driving force behind the rapid development of life insurance and reinsurance industries in Indonesia, emphasizing the protection of human life amidst social, economic, technological advancements, and evolving business landscape. Previously under the umbrella of Dewan Asuransi Indonesia (DAI), which served as the singular entity for all insurance companies – general, life, social, and reinsurance throughout Indonesia, AAJI emerged as the parent organization for the life insurance industry in Indonesia during the 10th annual DAI congress on January 23, 2002.

AAJI aims to be the platform and conduit for the aspirations of insurance and reinsurance companies in Indonesia, fostering beneficial cooperation for the development of the life insurance business. Additionally, it serves as a channel for communication, aspiration delivery, and enhancement of professionalism for life and reinsurance insurance practitioners in Indonesia. Simultaneously, it acts as a partner to the Republic of Indonesia's government in supervising and fostering activities contributing to the national economy.
