ArticoloUno is a social impact startup that aims to empower disadvantaged individuals through diverse employment opportunities in restaurants, cleaning, and municipal hall surveillance. Since its inception in 2015, the company has evolved from focusing solely on restaurant-related jobs to expanding its scope to include industrial and civil cleaning as well as municipal hall surveillance. In response to the pandemic, there has been a notable increase in demand for cleaning roles at the cooperative. Currently, almost half of the cooperative's workers are employed in the cleaning sector, which has become an essential area for employing older adults and a significant number of women. The most recent investment in ArticoloUno was a Venture Round investment on 01 January 2022, with the Opes Impact Fund participating as the investor. This backing from Opes Impact Fund signifies a vote of confidence in ArticoloUno's mission to create employment opportunities for disadvantaged individuals and make a positive social impact. ArticoloUno's ability to adapt and grow in response to changing market needs, particularly during the pandemic, showcases its resilience and potential for further expansion and impact in the social impact space.
