Arabian Power Company (APC) is a partnership between Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA), with sixty percent local government-owned through Arabian United Power Company (AUPC) and forty percent foreign-owned through ITM Investment Company Limited (ITMIC), comprising 50% Engie and 50% JERA. The company operates a plant consisting of the Old Existing Plant and the B station, with combined capacities of 2,200 MW and 94.5 MIGD. The B station achieved full commercial operation in July 2007. APC provides power and desalinated water to Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) under a 20-year Power and Water Agreement (PWPA), helping to meet the growing demand for electricity in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Notably, APC is committed to creating employment opportunities for UAE Nationals, contributing to economic and social development.
