APLA Health

APLA Health is a nonprofit, federally qualified health center founded in 1983, dedicated to providing comprehensive health care and support services to the LGBTQ community and people living with HIV in LA County. With a mission to achieve health care equity and promote well-being for the LGBT and underserved communities, APLA Health offers 20 different services from 15 locations throughout Los Angeles County. These services include medical, dental, and behavioral health care, PrEP counseling and management, health education, HIV prevention, and STD screening and treatment. For individuals living with HIV, the organization provides essential support such as housing assistance, benefits counseling, home health care, and food pantries through the Vance North Necessities of Life Program. APLA Health also plays a crucial role in advocating for policy and legislation, provides capacity-building assistance to health departments across the country, and conducts community-based research on issues affecting the served communities.
