ANCV (Agence Nationale pour les Chèques-Vacances) is a public institution established in 1982 to manage Chèques-Vacances, a form of payment issued by ANCV and distributed to employees through their works councils to help them go on vacation. 3.3 million employees are beneficiaries, with 20,000 works councils (60% of the total) being clients of ANCV. Additionally, 160,000 tourism professionals accept Chèques-Vacances as payment, with an issuance value of €1.3 billion. The profits generated by this activity are entirely used to finance vacation programs for disadvantaged populations such as single parent families, young adults, seniors, and people with disabilities.
