Ametalin is a South Australian-based company specializing in the manufacturing, research, and development of pliable building membranes for the building industry in Australia and Asia. With the slogan "Performance insulation for a greener world," Ametalin aims to develop world-class, competitively priced insulation systems and laminates for the global market while upholding the highest standards of integrity in all dealings. Founded in 1999 as a division of Amalgamated Metal Industries Pty Ltd, Ametalin acquired the plant and intellectual property for the Silver Batts product range from Lafarge Plasterboard Pty Ltd. Over the years, the company expanded its operations, acquiring a laminating plant in Mascot, Sydney, and the operations of Adelaide-based laminating company, SA Toyo Pty Ltd, in 2005 and 2009 respectively. This strategic expansion provided access to leading-edge technology, plant, and equipment, allowing Ametalin to supply flexible packaging and industrial laminates under the brand "SA Toyo." The head office, product development, and primary manufacturing facilities are located in Adelaide, Australia, with research and development personnel having access to resources throughout Australia and overseas. Collaborations in Japan for over a decade, India, and most recently China have significantly augmented the company's scope and capabilities.
