America's Promise Alliance

America's Promise Alliance is a non-profit organization founded in 1997 by five U.S. Presidents and General Colin Powell. It is currently in a crucial stage of evolution, embarking on a comprehensive new strategy to strengthen its role in the education sector. The organization has formed a community of leading non-profits in K-12 education, postsecondary to workforce pathways, and democracy and civic engagement, with over 100 organizations and 500+ leaders joining in the last two years.

Members benefit from the Alliance through an integrated model of leadership development, knowledge sharing, and capacity building, reinforcing a 'culture of the collective'. They are encouraged to collaborate and ideate, tackling challenges too large for individual entities to address. This approach fosters trust, relationships, and effective collaboration, enhancing the practical benefits of sharing resources and expertise.
