American Traction Systems, an American owned Private Corporation, designs and manufactures high power propulsion systems and converters for the automotive, transportation, rail, military and marine industries. ATS designs and manufactures AC Inverter, DC Chopper and Permanent Magnet drives from fractional horsepower to over 10MW installed propulsion power. Using advanced control algorithms such as variable switching frequencies, discontinuous pulse with modulation (DPWM) and rotor temperature compensation the ATS drives are the most technologically advanced drives available. Suitable for bus, utility vehicles, class 8 trucks and high performance sports cars operating up to 850VDC input voltage. Sister Company to Saminco International, a company specializing in the design and manufacturing of electric propulsion controls and accessories to the underground mining industry, as well as industrial controls for pumping/irrigation, fans/ventilation, material handling and crushing controls.
