Doug began his fire sprinkler career in 1965 at Grinnell Corporation, and in 1973 he took the bold step of founding his own company—American Fire Protection—with a commitment to providing the highest possible Quality and Service in the fire protection industry. Forty-five years later, Doug's team has exceeded his goals and built a reputation as the ‘go-to’ experts for fire sprinkler solutions, leading Doug to coin his team – the “A Fire Pros.”

Over the span of 53 years with Doug leading his team of “A Fire Pros,” they have worked in all phases of the fire sprinkler industry – design, sales, fabrication, installation, consulting, and management.
