Altopro S.A. de C.V. is a leading privately owned Mexican producer of biaxially oriented and cast polypropylene film. Established in 1984, the company has been serving the flexible packaging industry for 30 years. With four production lines across two locations, one in Mexico City and the other in Irapuato, Gto., Altopro has emerged as a frontrunner in the manufacture of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP).

Notably, Altopro recently expanded its production capacity with the acquisition of a fifth BOPP manufacturing line from Brueckner Maschinenbau, which is set to be installed at their Irapuato facility. This new line, a five-layer, 8.7-meter-wide system, is projected to add approximately 20,000 metric tons per year and is slated to become operational by the end of 2016.
