Albany Medical Center

Albany Medical Center is the northeastern New York’s only academic medical center, established in 1839. With over 9,000 employees, it stands as one of the Capital Region’s largest private employers. The 766-bed facility offers cutting-edge medical services, including a children’s hospital, intensive care units for adults and children, and organ transplant services. Supported by Albany Medical College, the center graduates over 200 medical doctors each year and operates a substantial biomedical research enterprise. Additionally, supported by the Albany Med Health System, it is the largest regionally governed, not-for-profit health system in northeastern New York and western New England.
