Aktiespararna

Aktiespararna is the Swedish Shareholders' Association, established in 1966 as an independent organization advocating for private individuals investing in stocks, mutual funds, and other related securities. Initially comprising around 100 members, it has since grown to encompass approximately 72,000 members by 2009. The organization's activities are diverse, ranging from defending small shareholders' rights, providing information and education through publications and events, to offering stock trading services via its subsidiary, Aktiesparinvest AB. It has expanded its outreach with over 151 local sections run by voluntary members. Additionally, the association has a service company, Aktiespararnas Service AB, and an investment company, Aktiesparinvest AB, under its umbrella. The association's areas of focus include legal advocacy, information dissemination, and stock trading services, catering to the interests of its members. Notably, in 1990, the youth movement of Aktiespararna led to the formation of the Swedish Young Shareholders Association, marking another significant development in its history. The organization continues to play an active and influential role in the Swedish financial services industry, particularly in the context of Fintech, with its headquarters located in Sweden.
