AgroNergy is a renewable heat provider focusing on biomass and geothermal energy, offering design, financing, implementation, and operation services. Founded in 2013, the company's objective is to create a circular economy by innovatively utilizing local agriculture, contributing to the energy transition and combating energy poverty.
The company's solution is tailored for medium-scale installations such as residential complexes, offices, schools, hospitals, greenhouses, and small industries. It encompasses thermal studies, specific boiler installation (ranging from 200 kW to 2 MW), and operation, including biomass supply and maintenance. AgroNergy also offers an energy service where it retains ownership of the heating equipment, ensuring installation, maintenance, and renewal, providing security and peace of mind for its clients. Additionally, there is an option for equipment purchase. Charges are solely based on the consumed heat at the end of the month, without any upfront investment. The average contract duration is 15 years, with a heating supply guarantee, ultimately resulting in long-term cost savings for the clients without financial or technical risks.
Utilizing the patented CALYS technology, developed by RAGT Energie, a shareholder of AgroNergy, the company achieves clean and efficient combustion of agricultural by-products through the combustion catalyst addition and granulation of dry combustible materials. These agrogranules meet the European standard prEN14961-6 and are approved by major biomass boiler manufacturers, as they do not produce corrosive fumes or slag.
The last investment of $2.44M in a Venture Round was secured on 15 January 2018, with contributions from EIT InnoEnergy, Generis Capital Partners, Paris&Co Incubateurs, and Crédit Agricole Centre Loire.
