AGRIBUDDY is a Hong Kong-based startup founded in 2015 with a vision to empower the rural areas of emerging nations. The company aims to uplift the livelihoods of the NEXT BILLION by providing them with finance, knowledge, goods, and services through its innovative BUDDY network.

AGRIBUDDY's services include addressing the lack of working capital for farmers by supplying agricultural inputs on credit, implementing irrigation and infrastructure to combat the effects of climate change, recommending crop changes, monitoring growing cycles, purchasing and distributing crops, and introducing renewable energy to off-the-grid areas using locally available crop residues to generate electricity.

The company received its Series A investment on 06 October 2018, which was backed by a consortium of investors including KSK Angel Fund, Mistletoe Singapore, Smart Axiata Digital Innovation Fund, XIMERA, Masakuni Matsumura, FORTE Insurance, and The Index Project.
