African Union

The African Union is a unique Pan African continental body founded in 2002, with a vision of an integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa. Headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the organization is dedicated to spearheading Africa's rapid integration and sustainable development. With a mission to become an efficient and value-adding institution driving African integration and development in collaboration with member states and regional economic communities, the African Union values respect for diversity and teamwork, transparency and accountability, integrity and impartiality, efficiency and professionalism, and information and knowledge sharing. The organization's slogan, "Join us to build the Africa We Want!!", encapsulates its goal of promoting unity, solidarity, cohesion, and cooperation among the peoples of Africa and African states while developing partnerships worldwide.
