The organization, also known as AFC, champions small and medium-sized enterprises as crucial players in Africa's food ecosystem and aims to celebrate the continent's contributions to global food dynamics.
At AFC, the focus is on supporting visionary, innovative entrepreneurs who operate as primary producers, distributors, financiers, and technology providers in the food industry. The organization, also referring to these entrepreneurs as Changemakers, is dedicated to changing global narratives about Africa through showcasing its food innovations, amplifying proudly African food and beverage brands, and promoting the diversity of the continent's gastronomic heritage.
The core mission of African Food Changemakers is to empower African entrepreneurs in establishing and expanding resilient and sustainable agribusinesses through various means such as training, funding opportunities, trade linkages, and community-building.
