Affordable Housing Trust for Columbus and Franklin County

Affordable Housing Trust for Columbus and Franklin County (AHT) is an independent, non-profit lender established in 2001. It partners with the private, non-profit, and public sectors to develop affordable housing opportunities in the City of Columbus and Franklin County. In February 2016, AHT obtained certification as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). AHT's primary focus is providing loans for affordable multifamily rental developments, leveraging other sources of private and public lending and investment.

The organization's multifaceted mission includes facilitating and investing in developments aimed at creating and preserving affordable homeownership and rental housing, strengthening and stabilizing neighborhoods, and providing support to working households, seniors, and special needs populations. Its commitment to these initiatives is evident in its most recent investment of $3.47M in grant funding, received on 10 April 2023 from the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund.
