ADHD Foundation Neurodiversity Charity, established in 2007, is a national organization dedicated to promoting understanding and self-management of neurodiversity. The foundation collaborates with various stakeholders including employers, individuals, families, doctors, teachers, and other agencies to enhance emotional well-being, educational attainment, and economic independence for individuals with ADHD, ASC, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Irlen’s Syndrome, dyscalculia, and Tourette’s Syndrome. One of their significant initiatives is the Umbrella Project, which showcases the talents and employability of neurodiverse individuals through art installations. This project, which began in 2017, has expanded to involve schools across the UK and has received support from local councils and businesses in Merseyside, Salford, Manchester, and Heathrow, London. The foundation also delivers training to businesses, health and education services, teachers, social care, and other professionals to raise awareness and promote inclusivity in mental health, education, and employment. This multifaceted approach underscores the foundation's commitment to celebrating neurodiversity, challenging stigma, and advocating for positive change.
