The Achievement & Assessment Institute at KU is dedicated to enhancing the performance of students, adults, and public agencies at local, state, and national levels. Established in 2012, the institute comprises seven centers offering a range of services and programs across the education sector. These centers collaborate with various agencies to improve academic performance, career advancement, and create healthy environments while also strengthening the capabilities of organizations that support individuals and communities.
Formed through the merger of the Center for Educational Testing and Evaluation and the Institute for Educational Research and Public Services, the AAI not only has a strong foundation but was also recognized as one of just 12 designated university research centers and institutes by KU’s Office of Research and Graduate Studies.
In addition to its mission to uplift student, adult, and public-sector agency achievements, AAI provides support and encouragement to KU faculty in research. It also offers valuable research and employment opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students at the university.
